Is it Halloween yet????

This year was much like last year with carving our pumpkins. Gage was all excited to do his pumpkin until he saw what was inside. Then he didn't want anything to do with the carving. We did make him pull out a few of the slimy seeds since it was his pumpkin, but then we did the rest. We had fun using stencils to make our Jack O' Lanterns this year. Gage picked the smiley face, I picked the ghost and Jared, of course, did the scary one. And he was quite clever with the symbol he put on the back of his Jack O' Lantern.

Clever Daddy

Our ward did a Trunk or Treat this Halloween. Jared and I have never participated in one before. We were really bummed because we forgot our camera, but we won "Best Family Trunk". Jared and I dressed up as a cat and dog. I made a dog house out of poster board and then we decorated with the usual fall things like pumpkins, corn stalks, Indian corn and our Jack O' Lanterns. I couldn't think of any ideas, so I just went with the decorations I had outside our front door. Quite a few people, who know Jared well, didn't know it was him under the dog makeup. It was very entertaining watching people looks and reactions when they realized it who it was. He just makes a great dog, I guess!

We had the best Halloween this year. A friend invited us and another family over for dinner and then trick or treating. The kids were so excited and just couldn't contain their excitment as we went up and down the streets. It was so much fun to go with friends! Gage is the cute little Ghost you see along with his friends super girl, batman, buzz lightyear, super boy and a sweet lamb!


This has nothing to do with Halloween, but Gage just looked so handsome today in his Sunday outfit I had to take a picture.
