Here we are ready to go snow shoeing. They had them in the cabin so Jared had to take advantage of them. We took a little walk and tried them out. We sunk more than I thought we should, but it was fun. The snow was very deep so the shoes definitely allowed us to walk in places we couldn't have with just boots.

The cabin was really quite nice. I think we were all surprised because of the great price it was to rent it. Here is Jared and I showing off the snow shoes.

Saturday everyone went skiing. Jared, Gage and I went cross country skiing. Jared pulled Gage behind him on the sled. And I guess I should say I was trying to ski. Jared was teaching me to skate and boy is it hard! But I enjoyed myself. When we were done skiing we sat down and let Gage watch people go up on the ski lift. He was quite fascinated with it.
Later that day Gage and I went back to the cabin and Jared had a chance to go downhill skiing. He had a blast, to say the least. When he came back at the end of the day I knew just by looking at the grin on his face that he had had a great time, and that speed was a part of that!

As you can see Meg hit it off quite well with the kids. She has lots of energy and really enjoyed interacting with the kids. Gage had so much fun with her as they were stacking these game pieces and watching them fall.
These pictures show more of the inside of the cabin and some of the people in Jared's lab.
It was such a gorgeous drive up to this cabin. I just keep pinching myself. I can't believe we live in such a beautiful area.

What a fun trip. I'm glad that there was something for everyone to do.
Don't we live in a beautiful world?! I'm sure missing the mountain. I hope we will be able to move westward sometime.
Sounds like so much fun. How far is the cabin away from Missoula?
That looks like it was a blast. I do miss the snow, here and there, for like a minute!
Was the Heineken Jared's or Amy's?
We are also jealous.
So glad you got to have a fun little vacation. Looks like a great place for winter fun. I know how much Jared likes that sort of thing!
It looks like there was a lot of fun stuff to do. The snow makes me feel ready for spring though.
