Camping at Seeley Lake (post 2)

I really wanted to go camping here in Montana with Gage and we finally were able to. Jared took off a day of work and we headed off to Seeley Lake. I really wanted to be by a lake so Gage could play in the water. So we found a campground that met that requirement. It was a little too crowded for my taste. But that's what you get when you want to be by the lake I guess. Gage, of course, loved roasting hot dogs and marshmellows over the fire. Even though he didn't really want his hot dog hot and wouldn't eat the marshmellow once it was roasted! It's all about the fire!

While Jared went fishing, Gage and I drove to Placid Lake picnic area and hung out. There was a dock that allowed us to sit out on the lake and enjoy the gorgeous view. We ate snacks, chased squirrels, played Gage games and watched a boat come into the dock.

On our last day of camping we hiked to Morrell Falls. It wasn't too far from where we were camping and they said it wasn't a hard hike so we thought we would try it. We had our friend, Karra, with us who was excited to finally get to do this hike. She had heard a lot about it, but just hadn't had they opportunity to go. When we finally made it to the Falls it was worth the effort it took to get there. It was pretty awesome. It sure was chilly though!

I love the picture of Gage roasting marshmallows with his hat turned backwards. He looks like he is going on 16. The falls are beautiful.

How fun. Gage is a man after his father's heart. Pyromaniacs!

I need some cold water here.

I really really want to go camping. But I'm so worried about ticks. I know that that is silly of my but my friends kids always come back with ticks on them. So I would love to go camping with you guys! I sooo need to move back west! Fun pictures of Gage.

So fun! Nicole likes her marshmallows "unroasted" too. She insists on roasting one by herself, feeding it to me, and then eating a cold one herself.

Do I complain? No.
