We also stopped by an Art Festival in Bigfork and walked through looking at all the stands seeing things that would be nice to have, but no money. But we did enjoy a snowcone! Also, along the way to Flathead lake there are cherry orchards all along the road. YUM! We stopped and bought some fresh Bing cherries. Gage really struggled with not swallowing the pit, but he sure tried. I wonder where those several swallowed cherries went?!!?
The last thing we did was drive through the National Bison Range. It is a refuge for many animals. We were glad that some of them made an appearance so our drive wasn't boring.

Here are some long horned sheep...

Here are some bison...

Here is an Elk with quite the rack on it (picture on the left). You just have to look very close and make the picture bigger to see it down in the bushes.

Here are some more Elk. They were dunking there heads under the water and pulling moss off the stream bottom. It looked hilarious! We couldn't believe how long he kept his head under the water.
I really wanted to see a bear from the safety of my car, but sadly we didn't.

That looks like tons of fun. I love water too!
I hear Yellowstone has some bears :-)
I love it when I find something near my home that I enjoy and can go and visit it any ol' time. You live in a beautiful place.
At first I though maybe you had confused moose and elk, but you didn't. Thats pretty funny, I didn't know they would do that! Anyways glad you are scouting out all the good local spots so when I come to visit you can take me to the top spots
ok, but you videotaped it ... what does that mean? he-he!
Water and permission to get in it means a true vacation no matter how short!
