A Star Is Born

We had our ward Christmas party. Santa came and Gage reveled in the moment.

But what he seemed to enjoy the most was singing to the Ward members. He was asked by the ward activity leader to sing. We wondered, when the time came, if he would act shy or just not want to sing at all. But that was definitely not the case. As soon as they announced his name he was up there grabbing the microphone ready to go. We were very impressed with him. He just soaked it all up and acted like he could perform all day long. When he got compliments he would say a polite "thank you" and continue with whatever it was he was doing.

(Jared doesn't know why he turned the camera side ways)

This morning Gage asked if he could go sing again. I told him it was all over and we weren't having another Christmas party. I think this experience is making us realize that we should be nurturing his talent more. He enjoys it so much. And hopefully by the time he gets a bit older and doesn't have that cute little boy charm he will be able to stay on tune a bit better! hehehe

So I may be biased but that was super good for a 3.5 year old singing acapella! Glad he enjoyed it and I'm sure there will be oportunities to perform at Christmas!

Cute!! That's awesome he loves to perform. I'm not sure any of my kids would. they would just look shy and giggle... and then run around. :) That's awesome!

Loved the singing. He does really well for one so young. Another Helm that likes to be in front of an audience.
