We had the opportunity today to go see some cute baby lambs and and watch sheep get sheered. Gage didn't seem to care much for the baby lambs, but he was fascinated by the sheering. It definitely was interesting to watch these guys wrestle the sheep and sheer off all that wool. It looked like back breaking work. Phew! It sure made me squirm when they shaved around certain sensitive body parts (if ya know what I mean!) Yikes! But obvioulsy these guys know what they are doing and they just whip right through it. Sadly the camera was dead before I could take any pictures of the sheering. Bummer!

Love the "Drive in movie" just needs some popcorn! Shearing is amazing isn't it. I would have loved to play with the little lambs, they are so cute.
Aren't you glad you don't have to raise the wool and knit or weave the clothes.
how funny is that with the drive in movie. I am always trying to think of ways to mix up movie night.
I'm surprised they haven't found a way to stick the sheep in a machine and out pops a sheared sheep. That would be pretty cool to watch!
I like Gages idea. I might have to try it at home.
Fun drive-in! How cool that you got to see sheering!
That's my kind of drive-in!
Sorry you didn't find your camera. Hopefully you'll have clear memories of the holidays.
The shearing story reminded me of the Pixar short called Boundin'. Love it!
I'm sure you already know, but very cute!
Isn't it still too cold to be taking off the sheep's wool?
wv- nomorlop (thought was appropriate with the sheering discussion)
