We also tried snowshoeing together as a family the other day. I think Gage thought it would be like skiing. He kept telling us how it was not very fun. He just wanted to play in the snow.

Here is Gage and his friend Liam. They want to take credit for this awesome snow pyramid, but I was the one doing all the work. They were supposed to be helping, but of course they got distracted and found other things to do.

We have some friends that let us borrow their son's skis and equipment. So we, mostly Jared that is, decided to teach Gage to ski. This is a great time to try it out since he can ski for free. Jared just has to get a $5 rope tow pass to take Gage up and down the bunny hill. Gage wasn't too sure the first couple of Saturdays Jared took him up to the ski hill. In fact he didn't really want to keep trying, but Jared persisted and pretty soon Gage was coming down the hill by himself and it is hard to get him to stop. I couldn't believe it! He's made great progress! I am such a proud mom.
Gage's tongue and hands, as you will see, really help him in his skiing! So be watching...enjoy the videos, we sure do.

That is so awesome! I'm still laughing. Man I am impressed! Way to get out and embrace Montana.
wow! that looks like so much fun! Didn't know that you did much downhill skiing but it probably is more fun to start out that way. Brings back lots of memories
Good job on all the fun winter pictures!
Good Job Gage!
I wish you would invite me to come and ski with you!

Cool pyramid! I never thought to do that. I assume the bricks were just out of a pail? Hmmm...
Beautiful pictures. What fun.
I can't stand up on cross country skis. I'd never get down a hill. Gage you are Fantastic.
