Special Retirement Party for our Special Mom

My siblings and I planned a surprise Retirement party for my mom. After 31 years of driving school bus she retired. She was so ready and so excited to be done with getting up at 5:30 in the morning. She has also done many more jobs through the years to help our family. She has sacrificed so much and endured it all with such faith, perseverance and a positive attitude. This was our small way of letting her know how grateful we are for all she did and continues to do for our family. It was awesome to have all of her children home to honor her.

We made a special dinner!


And gave a special gift! She definitely wasn't expecting that. My Dad was great at helping us keep it all a secret and giving us input on what gifts to give.

Sarah made the cute school bus cake. We enjoyed playing a trivia game about our memories of mom driving bus. It was fun to reminisce, laugh and cry a bit too! We love you Mom.
