We were excited to be able to spend Gage's birthday in Rexburg with cousins! We had already planned having a joint party in Missoula with his friend Will (seen below), who also has a birthday in May, so our last minute decision to go to Idaho Falls to attend a temple session was a bonus. He was excited to celebrate with cousins.
We enjoyed Strawberry Shortcake and balloons! What more do you need? It sure was great entertainment.

We decided as parents that our son should be Knighted! Pretty exciting isn't it.

Then a week later Gage had a blast celebrating with his friends. He requested a Flash superhero cake. So here it is...I was very pleased with it and luckily so was he. When he saw it finished he said "Oh Mom, thank you!" It warmed my heart.

We played limbo...

Musical chairs...

and ate our hearts out! YUM!

Here are the two birthday boys blowing up a storm.

And here is a very grateful Gage. His friends were very generous with their gift giving.

We had such a nice time and were so grateful to our friends the Gee's for letting us use their home. The kid's had plenty of room to play inside or outside which they did both.
Thank you friends and family for making Gage's 5th birthday so special! We are so blessed.
Gage is now the official age to be able to go to Kindergarten. He has been waiting for this for two years now. He is so excited to be a big 5 year old and it is amazing the things that 5 year olds can do, according to him that is. We know because he tells us just about everyday. He is a different super hero every few minutes. He tells us that his favorite sports are football, basketball, soccer but most of all is running. I am surprised our hallway carpet isn't worn through. His favorite colors are pink and green. He can ride a two wheel bike. He is becoming very sensitive to others feelings and getting more shy. He has never really been shy so this is a new thing and a bit alarming. He has lots of friends and loves to be with them. He has learned so much this year with our Co-op preschool. He can write his letters and is beginning to read and add and his drawings are getting more fun and creative. My favorite thing that he draws are his stick people. They have awesome hair! The stories he tells us go on and on and his imagination runs wild. They sure crack us up! We love you Gage.
Happy 5th Birthday Gage!
