This is a random day with our preschool group. This happened during their free time. I loved that they were taking turns "reading" to each other.

Gage loves to run and thinks he now knows how it should be done. This is Gage giving his Dad a lesson in running 101.
We were so excited when my brother Joe and his kids came from Pasco Washington to visit us. We enjoyed hanging out, eating, playing Wii and visiting. The weather wasn't as cooperative as I had hoped it would be, but we got a bit of a break so we could hike to the "M". It was a bit chilly, but it is a steep climb and our bodies warmed up fast.

Here is Joe with Rebeka in the pack, Joe, Paige, Gage and Romney on their way or already at the "M"

Gage and I decided last minute to hitch a ride with my brother and kids and go visit family with them. We enjoyed time in Rexburg with my sister Sarah and her family and then headed to Oakley to spend time with my parents. Since my parents kitchen was being renovated we had to improvise. My mom set up in the TV room a microwave, toaster and a crockpot. It actually worked out great and it was kind of fun, except washing dishes in the bathroom sink. But Joe bought a bunch of paper products and so there was very little clean up to do. We were able to sleep in the basement.

One of the highlights was going to the Hot Springs. It was cold outside and we got snowed on, but we stayed warm as long has we were in the warm water. Gage is such a water bug. He barely stays above the water. The picture you see with him face down is how he was most of the time. Swimming, swimming, just keep swimming!

The picture above is because of the picture you see below. Since we couldn't play at my parents house because of the work being done, we invited the cousins to go play at the church gym. Jacob was a good sport playing with his younger cousins and we had a great time. We were bummed that the weather was so nasty. The snow looked beautiful, but was NOT welcome!

Gage and I were also able to spend a few days at my cousin Angela's house. She has 4 daughters, so that was something he was not used to, but they got along just fine. I, of course, enjoyed all the visiting my cousin and I were able to do. It was hard to leave. But I was back to my parents house and was able to help with some closet organizing and painting and just being able to spend time with my parents was great.
It was quite an adventure getting back to Missoula. My brother wasn't going back through Missoula to get home because that is a lot longer. So I decided to hitch a ride with our friends from Missoula who were in Utah visiting family. So I rode to North Salt Lake with my mom to go to a cousins wedding, Gage and I were then taken to Orem by my cousin Kyle and his wife and dropped off at my sister-in-law Emily's (and found out that my other SIL Melanie was visiting Emily). The next day, after church, Melanie took us to meet the Hyltons who, very kindly and patiently, stuffed us and our belongings in their car with their 3 children; and I do mean stuffed. Did I mention I had a microwave with me!

Here Gage and I are at Hot Pot with Emily, my nephew Alec and Melanie is taking the picture. My SIL's are known for spoiling their visitors and this time was no exception. I decided to be adventurous and chose an Oriental restaurant. This was after the SIL's gave me a few choices and picked one. It sure was an experience and most of it tasted pretty good. Emily was definitely in her element and was eating things I didn't want to inquire about. I did try a few new things though so I was proud of myself. Gage wasn't so sure about this place until he learned that along with all that oriental "goodness" they had soda!
I can't thank my family and friends enough for carpooling, feeding, entertaining etc...Gage and I on our trip. We were truly at the mercy of them since we had no car of our own and we were never left wanting. We were so exhausted by the end of our adventure and we missed Jared a lot! It was great to get back home.

You shore are keeping busy. That Gage has tons of energy, just like his parents! It was way fun to see you guys.
I felt so bad that Angela and I missed you by just one day! Glad you had a good time.
Loved the running lesson. Maybe Grandma and Granddad need a few such lessons since Gage obviously has it all worked out.
