I think those helping in the kitchen were having too much fun! Notice,
Jared is not helping, just distracting Michael the turkey carver.
Sidra knew what she wanted...Grandma Pam's apple pie!
You can see that we got in the two most important things after the Thankgiving meal, a nap and some football.
The day after Thanksgiving we all head up the mountain to find the perfect Christmas tree. Jared helped my mom find two great trees. We enjoyed eating chili and cinnamon rolls and drinking hot chocolate to warm us up. My uncle Alan always gets a fire going to help keep us warm too.We also fit in a little sledding.
Jared, Gage and I headed to Idaho Falls after our stay in Oakley. We were able to spend time with Bethany and Jim's family. Jared's sisters Emily and Melanie were there as well as his niece Megan and nephew Alec.
We took a drive and stopped by the river. It was a beautiful chilly day. Throwing rocks in the water was the main attraction. It got to be a contest to see who could push in the biggest rock in the water. Or showing off our use of the "force" like Alec.
Besides the fact that some of us came down with the stomach flu, it was a good fun filled family weekend.

Those are some awesome trees... See you at Christmas!
Thanks for the great pictures to help this grandma is China feel the spirit of family without being anywhere near any of my family!
You captured Barry's enthusiasm for food perfectly in that first picture! I'm sorry you guys got sick, we managed to miss the worst of it.
Sounds like a fun time. Can't wait for our turn to have fun with you!
We are hoping that we don't do the Helm tradition of meeting together to exchange germs and going home with new ones.
