JAG AT THE HELM

Father and Son

Gage received his own real tools for Christmas from his Aunt Neita and Uncle Nathan. He couldn't wait to use them. Jared took him to Home Depot and they got what they needed to make a small wooden chest. So here is his pride and joy!
Jared and Gage decided it would be so fun to sleep out back behind our apartments! Ha! They are crazy and couldn't convince me to join them. But Jared was up to the adventure. Gage sure has a fun Dad, doesn't he?!?
They got everything ready while it was still light.
Then out they went at bedtime. The funny thing is that Gage slept like a rock, nice and warm and Jared froze and didn't sleep well at all. It didn't help, I am sure, that Jared was coming down with a nasty cold.
We enjoyed a day at the Ice Skating Rink here in Missoula. Gage was determined to do it himself. He kept telling us just to go skate and leave him. He was just fine. It took awhile, but he did finally let go of the wall and got in some skating without falling too much.
I skated too, but didn't last long. Too many people and the skates were killing me. So I took pictures and video.

Yes, Gage does have a great Dad! Maybe Gage could make me a yarn holder or winder or... anything :)

Impressive to even want to sleep outside. Pretty sure we would have to force our kids.
