Spring Break, Part 1

We were so ready for Spring Break! We started out at my brother Joe's home in Washington. We had a great Easter there. It is so much fun to have Easter Egg hunts  and decorate eggs with cousins.

Romney with his handy dandy egg decorating tool....a wisk! How cool is that???

Gage was proud of his decorating skills
Here's the clan working hard on making the eggs beautiful. There is Romney, Gage, Paige, Melissa and Rebeka.

We had fun searching for eggs with Melissa's family and we enjoyed doing our own Easter baskets hunt later that weekend.

Romney wanted to do a silly face. I think he did pretty good! And Jacob, I think, is...ummmm...playing it up for the camera?!? He looks overjoyed to have found his basket.

Pretty Paige
We enjoyed some wonderful warm weather while in Washington. We went down to a park by the river (Howard Amon Park on the Columbia River (many memories for Jared)) and enjoyed the sunshine. The kids were the only ones crazy enough to put their feet in the very cold water.

Jared, Gage and I took a memory lane drive. Jared wanted to show Gage where he went to school...

And the hill he used to think seemed so big...

And the home that holds a lot of memories! (1153 Hills West Way)
We also walked around the Columbia River Temple and found that the street
by the temple was named after Gage.
My brother Joe was very excited to have Jared come and ride motorcycles with him. He has his own, but then borrowed his brother-in-laws as well so they could go ride together. They enjoyed a long, long, long ride together. Melissa and I wondered if they were going to return. Later they took us wives with them and we had a great time. We all had our motorcycle safety gear on of course. We were quite decked out, but I didn't get a picture of it.

The Dad's gave the kids a ride on the motorcycle around the yard one evening and pretty soon the neighbor kids started showing up asking for a turn. It was fun!

So glad you had a good Spring break. That is one pretty important break isn't it? It was wonderful to see some of the old places. They have changed so much. Thanks for reminding us of the fun we had there.

What a fun spring break you all had! When are you all coming down to see us. I'm planning on going camping Memorial weekend at Tetons state Park or whatever it is called.
