Fall Fun

It's been fun living close to my sister Sarah and her family. We are together often. This is one of our outings in the American Fork canyon. It was a beautiful day!  If you have a stream you must throw rocks! Elisha, Camden, Lincoln, Grace, Sidra and Gage having a blast.
My cute little nephew Oliver loves the outdoors too, but you have to keep an eye on him since everything ends up in his mouth.

We went on a fun hike with Jordan, Gage's new friend. We loved having another boy along to keep Gage company.
The trail led to Stewart falls and even though it was a beautiful day, I didn't think it was warm enough to get wet. As you can see, the boys didn't agree.
That's as close as I was getting to the falls.
Jordan and Gage just couldn't stay out of the water. Jared helped them start a game of racing little objects down the stream. Fun times! It was such a beautiful fall day.

So we decided to go camping finally and it ended up being the coldest few days. It was awful! We got poured on and saw a little dusting of snow. We wanted to camp at Washington Lake but it was snowing when we got there.  We decided to camp a little lower in the valley and ended up by the North Fork of the Provo River.  We tried to be positive though and Gage said he had fun. A funny story while we were camping: Gage slept in his own little tent next to our family tent. After he had been asleep for a couple hours and just after Jared and I had settled down to sleep, Gage yells, "What in the world!!! Who put me here!" Jared and I were startled at first but then we realized he must have forgotten that he was sleeping in a tent. So I said, "Gage, remember, we are camping and you are sleeping in your tent?" Gage said, "Oh, yeah, I forgot." Jared and I laughed and laughed and we had fun talking to Gage about it in the morning.
I invited Sarah and Josh's family over to celebrate her birthday. Josh and the kids made a birthday wall with their art work. It is so strange to be close enough to family to celebrate birthdays with them. We feel so blessed!

We were able to go to temple square and watch conference in the tabernacle. We were hoping to get into the conference center, but we didn't have tickets and the standby line was too long. We did enjoy being in the historic tabernacle though. Gage wanted to sit up in the balcony so we did.
My handsome Gage by the Salt Lake temple!

One of our FHE's in October was making caramel apples and spider cookies. We ate some and used some to "BOO" a few of our neighbors. We had the special treat of having Grandma Jan and Grandad stay with us while Grandad and Jared built Emily's bathroom downstairs.

Jared and I went on a date to the Olympic Park, in Park City. It was fun to see all the memorabilia and pictures of the athletes that participated.

Jared was admiring the bobsleds and track. It was cool to walk around the park and imagine it filled with people and athletes.

My friend Carrie, a fellow former Missoulian, called me and ask if I wanted to go with her on a drive to see the fall colors in the mountains.
I had my niece, Grace with me and she had her daughter River with her.  They were quite the pair.
The drive was so beautiful and we had fun walking around on some trails and looking at Provo falls.
