Bluffdale Utah

 We have moved and settled into Bluffdale Utah for the time being. We are living with Jared's two sisters, Melanie and Emily. They bought a home just a few month before they invited us to move in. It is a fixer upper so there is always a project going. Also with chickens, ducks, goats and a dog we keep busy.

Gage is having a blast with the big yard and all the animals. He enjoys being outside with Emily and helping with the animals. His favorite animal is Miss Daisy. She is a sweet dog that we got from a family who was giving her away because they were moving and couldn't take her with them.She is smart and sweet and a bit of a scaredy cat too! She is afraid of thunder, fireworks and babies/toddlers. We sure love her though!

One of the fun things we have done since moving to Bluffdale is attending a couple rodeos with family and friends. We had so much fun! One of the rodeos was for kids. Gage and Sidra rode a lamb and then all the kids participated in the Cash Cow. They even had one for adults. Jared, Joanna Mclean and I did it. Jared was so close to the cow, but didn't get any money!

It was so awesome to have some good friends who lived in Missoula also and are now living in Utah come and join us. The Higginbothams are the best!

One of the rodeos was after we had had a lot of rain. The arena was a muddy, sloppy mess. So you can imagine what the kids looked like after falling of the sheep and chasing the Cash Cow!

 

During Bluffdale days we participated in a Family 5k bike ride. Jared had to do some work on Emily's bike to get it up and running and she was feeling a bit rusty with her bike skills but she said she had fun. Melanie was the one who looked the coolest with her awesome bike outfit. There were only a couple other family's who participated, but it was fun!

Putting this shed together is one of the many things Jared has worked on. Melanie helped him when she could. Can you see Melanie up there on the roof??

Jared also built a milking stand to make it easier for Emily to milk her goats. So awesome!!

Gage has really enjoyed his new school in Bluffdale. He has a really fun teacher and has made some friends. The school had a fun fundraiser. The kids earned money for the laps that they ran. Jared and I volunteered and were put to work marking the back of their t-shirts with a marker to keep track of their laps.

We have been put to work in the ward already. Now we are all in cub scouts together. This was taken after our first pack meeting. It went great!

We really love it here. Melanie and Emily have been amazing to live with. I love that there is always something going on around here.  It makes it fun. We really seem to make a good team!

We pray for Jared to find a job soon (the reason we moved to Utah), but in the mean time we will enjoy the time we have here with family.
