Happenings on Aunt Hill

There are always exciting things going on here on Aunt Hill (Jenny came up with that name and I like it). A hen and a rooster (not on the same day) both needed their necks wrung...I mean, were done with their mortal journey on this earth. Emily and Melanie didn't think it was a very enjoyable job, but it had to be done.

 The girls are plucking away!
Jared role in this process is quite clear if you note what he is holding in his hand.

Jared is being helpful by provided much needed light in the garage and Alec seems quite interested in watching the whole process.

Where there is death there is also life. Tulip the goat delivered two cute kids. One was a boy, Bachelor Buttons, and the other one was a girl, Zinnia. Aaron, Gage, Emily and I were able to witness it and I must say it was awesome! I love all that we are experiencing here on Aunt Hill. Gage is definitely getting an education on the animal kingdom.

Emily entered her and Daisy in an obstacle course run. It was great to watch Daisy and Emily work together and have fun. It was also fun to see all the other dogs and watch their interactions.

Now Aunt Hill has bees! Alec and Aaron help keep the hive happy and healthy while Emily supervises.

The bees like getting caught in Emily's hair. We couldn't get this one out before it stung her. Jared is attempting to get the stinger out.

There is a lot happening on Aunt Hill. Loved all the pictures! It looks like Jared is getting ready to scalp Emily in the last picture. Why us tweezers when you have a knife?

I love all the pictures too! Never did get to see the ones of Ems in the obstacle course. Perhaps this year we need to tone down the excitement a little bit :)
