Arches and Canyonland National Parks

We planned a trip to Moab over Gage's break from school the 1st part of October. We were ready to have fun and explore. I will let the pictures mostly speak for themselves. We had amazing weather and plenty of time see the sights.

The red fine soft sand was so beautiful. I was constantly having to put my hands in it and play with it.

We enjoyed hiking/walking this section of Onion Creek called "the narrows". There was just a fun little stream and lots of fun claylike mud and sand.

Our friends from Missoula told us about this log ladder in the rock. It is how the Natives would climb to the top of the huge boulders. It really isn't much of a ladder. Gage wanted to climb it, but he said it was really hard and scary. Jared did a lot of assisting to get him up there. You can also see some of the petroglyphs. Cool stuff!

We almost didn't go to Canyonlands. I am so glad we did. It was AWESOME! These pictures just don't do it justice.
