Barry and Heather were in charge of the family reunion this year. The theme was "Lift where you Stand". They held the first Jenks Family Olympics.
The drive up the mountain, to Bostetter, ended up being quite the challenge. My parents little camper broke down about half way up. Jared was quite the hero with the way he took on getting it fixed in the hot summer sun. It took many hours and help from my brother Michael and running to a parts store in Burley to get it fixed. Jared is handy guy to have around him.
Sweet relaxing contentment. Reuben was is such a cutie and enjoying his mom.
Gage got a cool looking spider bite! Two perfect little holes.
Jumbo Jenga was a favorite with the kids.
The kids made rockets and then competed to see whos could go the farthest.
We had an on going horse shoe competition. Jared and I surprisely did well and it wasn't just Jared getting the points. Reuben was fascinated and spent a lot of time watching the horseshoers.
We enjoyed Barry and Heathers fun and also spiritually uplifting devotionals each evening.
This was so fun to watch. The dad's had on shower caps sprayed with shaving cream. Their children were then suppose to throw cheese puffs and see how many they could get to stick to their dad's head.
Barry and Heather looked everywhere to find watermelon with seeds in them so we could have this traditional activity of seed spitting. They were not successful so instead they used cherry pits.
Jared got first! Way to use that hot air of yours!
The kids loved this game called "Tails". They just couldn't seem to get enough of it.
It was another wonderful and memorable Jenks Reunion. Thanks Barry and Heather for doing such a great job.
