Adventure and a Family visit

Last week Jared went on a backpacking trip/fishing trip with my brothers in Wyoming. They hiked in the Wind River Mountains. It ended up being more treacherous than expected as there was no trail to follow and they got rained on quite a bit. The rain made the rock climbing and log balancing more precarious, but of course they made sure they got as much fishing in as possible. Jared said he caught some beautiful fish and enjoyed eating one with lemon pepper and fresh sliced lemon. He said it tasted delicious. It was a beautiful area full of wildlife, like bears (see picture) and moose. It was no wonder that they saw bears as they were in the midst of wild raspberries and strawberry patches. The rain made the berries taste even more juicy.
While Jared was in Wyoming I stayed at my sisters, Sarah, in Rexburg. She has three little boys and it is very busy at her house!!! I don't know how she does it, but loves it. We had fun going out on a sister date and shopping for clothes, then garage sale hunting, cooking and just talking. Gage just loved playing with all his cousins toys and playing in their backyard and riding all their cars and bikes. He and Elisha were getting along really well and were so cute together. Also, when he had his big cousin Lincoln all to himself during Elisha and Camden's nap, he had a great time. Lincoln was very good with him. You can tell he has two younger brothers! Sarah and Josh said how much they loved Gage's singing. He is always singing something. He even got all his cousins to march around the house singing "La dee da dee da, la dee da dee da, what's the name of that song." It was so fun to watch them. That is Gage's new favorite song from his Sesame Street video. He will sing it forever and then say "mommy sing...daddy sing!" We also got a visit from my sister-in-law Heather and cute, sweet baby Quinton. Her husband, my brother Barry was also on the hiking trip. So we invited her over since she was in town visiting her family. It was good to visit with Heather and play with Quinton. When Jared and my brothers Barry and Michael came by to drop Jared off it was so funny to see them get out of the car and watch as they all limped and winced up to the house. To say the least they were sore for days after and found bruises on their shoulders and hips. Was it worth it I asked? At first they didn't seem to know how to answer while the pain of the journey was still fresh, but Jared later said "Yes!" and I am sure the others would to. Thanks Charles (the master mind behind the annual hiking trip) for planning and heading the journey. Just a side note! I have been called as the Relief Society Secretary. It has been challenging going into this calling since I don't know hardly anyone. I am definitely being put through a crash course with getting to know everyone. The President is also new. Her name is Oralee Stark. She and her husband moved here from Burley just before we did! And her daughter is married to Doug Hunter and they live here in Missoula. Small world isn't it.
