Christmas Memories

On Christmas Eve we had enough grandkids at Grandma and Grandpa Jenks' to act out the Nativity. It is fun and funny to watch all the wiggles and squirms as the story is read. Each child loved playing their part and they all added their own touch to the story of Christ's birth. But I would have say that my neice, Rowan, took her part the most serious. She was the Angel and she knew

just how an Angel should act and did her best to do just that.
These are a before and after Christmas pictures of Gage as a shephard. Jared played a shephard in Primary at church before we left for Oakley and from then on he needed to be a shephard too. It made such an impression on him.
Bright and early Christmas morning, even my parents were up and ready to go. We enjoyed taking turns opening presents savoring each one. Or at least we tried to. We were very blessed this year as always. The theme this year for Jared was....FISHING! Wow what a shocker!
Gage had fun picking out a fish magnet for Daddy. Isn't it cute! It wobbles to.
Two years old and loving Christmas morning. Of course the thing he wanted the most was the candy.
Something I found quite funny was the fact that after presents were all opened the kids wanted to play with everyone else' s toys instead of their own.
We were able to get keys to the church and go play in the gym. My sister Sarah and I came up with some games to play with the kids which went great and then they also just run and around and had a great time. It was a great way to get out of the house and have some fun. (Video 100-2483 2009/1/3)

Skipping rope was one of the fun things we did. Michael (my brother), Joshua (brother-in-law) and Jared are the ones that got that started. They were having great fun and then of course the kids wanted to do it too since they saw that their Dads were enjoying themselves so much. And of course there was some basketball going on too. In my family it is a must! Here are some of the little people getting some much needed help to get a ball in the basket.

One of the games the kids just loved!! was popping a balloon and then reading the message inside and doing what it said to do. Here is Gage popping his balloon.
Did you notice all the boys and one girl? We have an abundance of boys and only a few girl grandchildren. But the girls we have sure are cute! This is one of them, Cambry.Aunt Sarah reading bedtime stories to everyone.
It is amazing how fun the stairs at Grandma's house can be, especially since she redid did them and put nice cushy padding on them.
It was a great way to entertain themselves.
It is a bit dark in my parents partially finished basement, but I am sure you can see enough in this clip to know they are having a blast!  (Video 100-2517 2009/1/3)

Wow.. what a fun christmas.
I'm glad u made a haul. Presents is what Christmas is all about of course.
And it looks like Gage had lots of fun with his cousins. Did he hold his own this time against toy agressors? :-)

You know I think we forgot to get out our camera the whole time we were there. So, thanks for sharing the pictures. We loved seeing everyone.

That looks like it was lots of fun! I love the idea of going to the church gym. Although now that I think about it, we did too! Only Steve's family isn't a sports family. :) So we just did all kinds of other things!

Great pictures. I had no idea you were all "here." We were caught up in our own family I guess. =o) And the treacherous roads. Happy New Year!
