Jared and I just love how he lines up his trains and cars when he plays. He does this daily. But trust me, they don't stay all nice and orderly. Eventually they end up flying onto the floor. We don't like that part.
I was remembering how fun it was when we were kids and my brother Joe would build forts in our living room with blankets and pillows draped over the furniture. He seemed to be the best architect. It was a blast moving around through the tunnels! So I decided to relive that memory with Gage.
I must say it wasn't quite as I remembered, for two reasons:#1- I am bigger and it is hard not to knock the blankets down as I manuver throught the tunnels, #2- "Ouch!" it hurts my knees. But I tried to enjoy it for Gage's sake. He thought it was awesome and was getting all giddy as I was building. But he seemed to have more fun knocking it down. So all my hard work came down too quickly. I had to convince him how fun it was to play IN the fort so he would quit trying to destroy it.

How fun! What a great Mom you are.
I remember how fun it was to make the forts, but I only really remember playing in them once or twice. 'course, I r engineer :-) Cleaning up was always the worse!
Gage is so cute in his crown.
awesome pictures of Gage. i built a couple of "forts" for the girls and they always seemed to just knock them down. just recently they seem to get the idea of keeping the "fort" up and playing INSIDE. Now Andrew is the problem. What a awesome mom you are to play in the fort with him!
Word verification: phoolous- sounds cool
What a fun mom you are. I remember building forts with my sisters mostly, although I think there were a couple of cool ones in Maryland that the boys did. Building them was always the most fun! Gage is sure cute (and so are you!)
We used to love to do that as kids too. Romney also likes to jump on it and knock it down. Paige is our fort builder here. Gage does look like like he feels so special with his "I am a child of God" crown. Too cute!
nice family photo! wish i was that cute .... i was always the one who made the forts ... i had little brothers and sisters that actually got in them ...
I remember making forts for my sisters too. Think how long ago that was. We had such fun in them. I loved the crown, but especially the wearer!
Just think of what an amazing fort-builder he will be someday! You're a good sport. I'll look for the crown pattern now. =o)
You're such a good mom, Amy, to play with Gage like that. No wonder he's such a sweet boy!
Oh man! I wish Fay and Gage could get together - I know they would have so much fun. We made that crown too - we had our FHE based on that little story and making the crown was our activity. Fay loves to line up her toys like Gage too! I agree - its too bad they don't stay like that!
oh, and I meant to tell you, I love your family photo! It is perfect.
