We had the opportunity to house and animal sit last week. Gage was so excited! We have been to Meg's house before for work related get togethers so Gage already knew how fun her house was. His favorite part would have to be the stream in the back yard and the great little bridge that spans the water. He spent a lot of time throwing things in the stream and watching them sink or float. He also liked it when Sadie the dog would try and fetch the things he threw in the water.

We invited over some friends to enjoy the beautiful home and yard with us. We did dutch oven cooking. I made my family's favorite recipe, 7-up chicken! Yum! It was a hit as always. And as you can see above the kids all enjoyed the stream and wanted to spend most of their time there.

Gage had a lot of fun throwing the ball to Daisy and Sadie the dogs. They seemed to enjoy him quite a bit too.

Meg also had a scooter that she said Jared could ride. So Jared gave us a ride and he rode it to work one day too. It was fun!

While we were there we enjoyed walking on some great trails in the area. We met up with one of Gage's little girl buddies and her mom and baby brother. Of course the hightlight for them was picking the beautiful Dandelions.

If you look close you can see the difference between a girl's bouquet and a boy's bouquet. I think it is hilarious!

That does look like tons of fun! I love a stream.. or any type of running water outside.
I really like Jareds helmet. He would look like a serious biker 'cept he's on a scooter :-).
And those bouquets are awesome!
How fun! Can I get that Chicken recipe? It sounds delicious!
Sounds like such a fun place. Don't we all wish we had a stream to play in. Great pictures.
What fun! I love the pictures of dandelion picking. I think Gage's boquet has a lot of character.
Oh yeah! 7-up chicken! I'll have to try it, now that I'm the cook around here...
I love the bouquets too.
Wow! What a fantastic place.
